In our busy and often hectic world, consciously seeking relaxation is essential for staying healthy and in balance. The question is: how do you do that? One of our moonbird ambassadors Bart Scholtissen, nature coach, Wim Hof Method Academy Instructor, public speaker, and soul scientist, shares his wisdom and tips.
Thanks to conscious breathing, I can choose to be the eye in the storm, instead of being lived by the storm.
“For years I thought I was a PhD in Neuroscience, but after going through a major burnout in 2013/2014, I found out who I really was. I managed to reconnect with the playful kid inside me and decided to exit the academic world to start my own business. It has become my mission to help people be true to themselves, and by doing that create a more loving and connected world.
On this path I've had the opportunity to meet, inspire, and learn from 1000s of people, from all over the world. This has allowed me to be more myself every day. My passion lies in expanding my knowledge about life and passing that on to others so that we can create an extraordinary new world together.”
“When my mind starts taking over my focus I know I need to slow down and breathe and go into nature. It's actually a daily practice that I'm living and teaching to my clients.
How? I acknowledge the state I am in, feel grateful for it, reconnect with my breathing, take control of my breathing to create the state of consciousness I want to be in, and go into nature to just be.”
“Going into nature helps you reconnect with your own nature. Nature is love, you are nature, you are love. I actually turned nature into my ‘office’: I take people into nature to let them reconnect with their own nature, hence the name of my company: BackToYourNature Coaching.”
“Breathing has given me control over my own being again. I feel more calm and present. I can choose to be the eye in the storm, instead of being lived by the storm.”
